The Mayor of London is promising that London will have full wi-fi coverage in time for the London Olympics 2012. He made the pledge at the recent Google Zeitgeist event.

This was held in Hertfordshire, and he is quoted as saying that “every lampost and every bus stop will one day very soon, and before the 2012 Olympics, be Wi-Fi enabled.”

So far, 22 of the 32 Greater London boroughs have already signed up to the scheme. If Boris can convince the other ten to sign up then he may well succeed and London will be the first city to host a wi-fi enabled Olympics.

If you need a solid wi-fi performance or to boost your wireless signal, you need the highly-rated hField Wi-Fire. Get it now for only £46.99 inc VAT.
